The DL40 is really bright and seems to be very durable. I like the choice of LEDs in this flashlight, the light quality is really good. And it has a good long running time. What I like: * That thing is bright! Especially in the first few minutes.* Great LEDs: 4 at 5000K, 90CRI LH351D - lots of lumens and high CRI* Robust construction - double o-rings on each end of the tube, good screw connection. Has good weight. * Full set: 2 x 5000mah batteries, charger, strap etc. * Low standby consumption: 47uA * It maintains 2000 lumens even after lowering * Worked for 3 hours before shutting down * Well focused beam (the an interesting flower shape up close) * Features Temperature Control ("ATR") What could be better: * If you need a low mode, this really isn't your light as the lowest mode is around 300 lumens . I have a feeling that most divers probably don't need a proper moonlight setting. If you're looking for a flashlight to read at night, this bad boy is over the top.
