Review on 🔌 elago FireWire 400 to 800 Adapter (White) - Mac Pro, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, iMac & More by Kevin Nelson

I bought this adapter to use with two other adapters to use my old Firewire 400 audio interface with my new Mac Mini. I've never been able to consistently use more than one adapter, but this worked fine and didn't seem to introduce any additional latency. It connects to a FW800 > Thunderbolt 2 adapter that connects to a Thunderbolt 2 > Thunderbolt 3 adapter that connects to the Mini. Again surprised it worked, but glad it worked and saved me the trouble of spending a fortune on a comparable rackmount interface. It has been running more than 10 hours a day for about 6 weeks now without any problems. Highly recommended.
