Nice kit, very useful for drilling pilot holes

Installing the hinges should be an easy task, but if you've done it before you know the hinge screws are centered squarely on the hinge holes or the hinge holes screw does not sit flush in beveled hole, or worse, pull hinge slightly out of position. Sounds like it should be easy, but after installing lots of loops I've had my fair share of bugs. All it takes is a 1/16 inch off-center or a very slight angle into the wood and you end up with a crappy looking setup. With these self-centering drill bits, that's a thing of the past as you'll get the perfect pilot hole every time. All you have to do is use a drill bit best suited for chamfering the hinge hole and drill a small hole perpendicular to the face of the door and you're guaranteed to fit perfect every time. Time. This "set" comes with 8 bits that should allow the user to drill a hole for almost any hinge I've seen. A nice feature that I wasn't expecting is that the bits are interchangeable. There is a set screw with a hex head on the side of each nozzle that can be loosened (with the supplied hex wrench) to allow the nozzle to be removed. That way, if you accidentally break the bit or it becomes dull, the tool can still be used with another bit of your choice. My only complaint about this set is that it doesn't come with any sort of case. It doesn't matter and given the price of the kit I really shouldn't have expected it and I just used the ziplock plastic bag they came in to keep them together. Overall I am very happy with this bit set and would recommend it to anyone who installs hinges even infrequently as it not only speeds up the process but also ensures a perfect fit every time.
