Review on ๐Ÿถ Double Door Soft Sided Crate - MidWest Canine Camper by David Sanchez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Works well but breaks easily

We bought this box (48 x 31 x 35) through Revain.com about 3 years ago and again 1 year ago (you would think that anyone actually walked away with it?) and each of them had their rods broken or bent in just a year. This problem is easily "fixed" by clamping PVC pipes in the corners to support the roof and I haven't had any complaints since. If the bars were less brittle. , that would be almost perfect as the cage holds the hair and fits very nicely in the back of our Suburban. Having two black labs in a cage in the back of the truck made it a lot easier to control them when the hatch is open (packing or fresh air only) and allowed us to pack bags around the cage (not as easy to do when it was a divider bar they just knocked off). No we can't see the back but usually when we have dogs with us then all our gear for a family of 5 so I can't see the back anyway. On our previous SUV (where we only used a splitter) the hairs seemed to be permanently stuck to the headliner and now there isn't a single hair on the outside and we have a white SUV with a light interior. He's heavier than I expected. but still easier to transport than a metal box and gentler on the inside of the truck and tent. I miss stacking items on top of the cage when camping (when we brought the metal cage).

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
