Avoid at all costs!
Huge problems with this drive. When tested on a 2008 Macbook it found that it wasn't supplying enough power (and oddly disabled all other connected USB devices). When I plugged it directly into the motherboard of two separate PCs, they both had an instant shutdown. On my first system I didn't get a warning, but when I rebooted a second computer with the drive still attached, it refused to boot into the BIOS and said it was "using surge protectors to prevent motherboard damage". ". Not only is this product defective, it sounds like it is dangerous to use.
