Review on Williams 23309 Locking Cutter 6 Inch by Brett Slater

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I've seen better at Harbor Freight.

I bought this after reading that Williams is a subsidiary of Snap-On. Either they're fake, or Snap-On intends to compete with the $3 vise in a shopping cart at Harbor Freight. The finishing touches looked like they were being pulled on a rope behind a freeway truck, the kingpins were unkemptly loose and the adjustment threads were rough and uneven. I recently bought an Irwin version of these exact same instruments, and while they're also made in China and cost less than a dollar, they were 100% better made than that pesky Williams crap. As always, many thanks to Revain for the excellent return service.

Pros
  • Comfortable single lever trigger
Cons
  • Don't really like it, it's ok
