Well, that fixes the issue as intended. During our first build/leaf swing experience, we cut out a hole that was used for a square lantern. Blunt, but immediately everything glued and varnished. a bit late to change it. So that the widest flange doesn't cover those corners in the drywall hole for this light. :-( This is used to "make that flange wider" and while the can light ring doesn't fit INSIDE the raised portion of this flushing like I'd like, it works fine. This effectively solves the problem, and since the both parts were not created to match each other, I think we are lucky to find a match as close as we are.There is a bit of light visible between the two parts, that's my only disappointment.
