Review on High-Resolution Touch Screen Acer T272HL Bmjjz HDMI Monitor – 27 Inch WQHD Display by Ryan Fulton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Picture - 5/5. Touchscreen - 5/5. USB hub - 4/5. Camera - 3.5/5. Loudspeaker - 1/5.

I've been using this monitor for about a week and overall it's pretty good. I don't see any of the ghosting mentioned by other reviewers and overall image quality is very good. Good color reproduction, viewing angles, no noticeable delays. I'm not a very picky gamer, but I didn't find this bad in terms of input lag or blurring in any of the games I ran at full 1440p. Touch appears to be responsive, although it's still unclear if this is an advantage in Windows 8.1. The only downsides so far aren't related to its main use as a monitor. It comes with a USB cable to operate the integrated touchscreen, camera and microphone, and a USB hub. The camera isn't the best quality, but it's enough. I'm not sure if it's a hardware limitation of a USB cable, but the monitor only has 2 USB inputs. So you give up one on PC but get 2 on the monitor itself. It would be nice if it was 3 or 4. The speakers are terrible. I use a 27" Apple Thunderbolt Display for work and the difference is huge. The Apple Monitor has a downward-firing speaker setup with a mini subwoofer. The Acer speakers sound like they're running backwards and have them Performance of a cell phone speaker since 2003. Also, the speakers are connected via a 3.5mm cable and not the USB cable that the microphone and camera use, so the picture quality and the touchscreen are great, but the functionality of the Camera, USB hub and speaker could be improved. .
