I had to tow an old Grumman canoe for 350 miles mostly on the freeway and I was concerned about the aerodynamics but it worked fine. Even at 65 km/h there was no movement to be seen. The straps were noisy at first, but I wrapped them tightly around the posts and the noise went away. I'm deducting 1 star for small quality issues. The threads of one of the screws were coated with plastic. It took me a while to figure out that I could use a screwdriver to scrape off the excess plastic. And it was missing a few screws, which was a bit of a nuisance since it comes with two screw sizes. Baida barely fit in my Mazda CX-5; a wider canoe or a narrower car would be a problem.
