2000 4Runner SR5 4WD Replaced front struts and rear shocks. The truck was then 1-5/8" higher at the front than the rear. The front wheels were locked. The car was jacked up at the rear about 18" off the ground. Represents the rear frame. Rear shock absorber lower mounting bolts removed. Get her out of the way. Removed the top brackets from the stabilizer end links and folded them down. Remaining rims and tires. Slowly lower the rear wheel. A second person pressed on the wheels, the springs came straight out as they are with a 24 inch pry bar. I didn't use a spring compressor but would definitely make the installation easier. Place the spacer on top of the spring, then the baffle on top and through the spacer and spring. . After about 15 to 20 minutes of adjusting the attachment points on each side, pry, wiggle, and push the spring into place. Reinstall the separated rear suspension components in reverse order. Lowered car and dimensions are now almost the same in terms of ground clearance. There's no noticeable stiffness for the rear suspension. 50 km after the burglary. Completely satisfied!
