1998 4Runner Perfect Fit

Instead of spending $200 on new springs, I spent $40 on spacers! Installation was easier than I thought. Look out for suggestions in other reviews. It took me less than two hours. I used a human body standing on the tire to separate the axle from the frame once I had the body on the jack stands and the shocks and panhard bar were off. Faster than plugging in an OEM socket.

Gave more height than stated but I wanted more

Got these for a friend who owns a '96 Toyota 4runner. I wanted to get new springs and dampers to raise them 4 inches, but they really didn't want to spend the money. I was absolutely against using these but they were very easy to put on and the height is almost 4 inches taller than before and she loves it! Your T4R no longer looks silly. Looks bad again! Very happy. It's been about 4 months and they still work well with no noticeable deterioration in driving.

did the job for me!

As the ROC said, follow these steps and you're done: The strut is placed over the spring (alignment is obvious), then a tab is attached to it to hold the strut in place . I used a factory bottle jack and placed it between the axle tube and the fender. Then it just had to be lifted to make enough room to install the spring and spacer. I am following OCD's instructions (review below) and it has worked great for me. This was the first time I made it myself and after making one side it was very…

They really helped straighten my sagging 4runner. I .

this really helped straighten my sagging 4runner. I could have installed cheap rear springs but didn't want to as I will soon be installing all new high quality springs/damper etc and wanted to save my money until I'm done with that. The sagging of the rear springs leveled the car and raised it a little. Driving behavior has greatly improved. I'll add, at least for 4runner, the instructions are fine if you might have a lift. Remove shock lower bolts, panhard linkage, lower differential, remove…

Easy install

2000 4Runner SR5 4WD Replaced front struts and rear shocks. The truck was then 1-5/8" higher at the front than the rear. The front wheels were locked. The car was jacked up at the rear about 18" off the ground. Represents the rear frame. Rear shock absorber lower mounting bolts removed. Get her out of the way. Removed the top brackets from the stabilizer end links and folded them down. Remaining rims and tires. Slowly lower the rear wheel. A second person pressed on the wheels, the springs came

VERY easy installation into shocks, struts and suspension

I installed these spacers on a 1999 T4R Limited 4x4 that came with factory installed '99 Tall' springs. Although the springs didn't sag when unloaded, as soon as I added weight back they went down an inch or two. My first thought was to replace them with OME springs, but I hesitated because I didn't want to spend money if I decide to go the other way in the near future. Air assist springs also crossed my mind, but I was worried about potential problems if the tail was fully flexed. Ultimately…
