The G5 is great for gaming. I got this sound card for video editing and later decided that this card is not very suitable for video editing because the sound card amplifies the sound and if there are any flaws you might not notice them until it's too late. So I connected it to my regular computer for a better listening experience. If you do serious video editing I would go for the Focusrite Solo or Focusrite 2i2, it's a much better sound card and more accurate because although Focusrite is made for music playback it will come in handy whenever you want. accurate results of dialogue, sound effects and music.
