ABSOLUTELY NO SMELL OF CHEMICALS OUTDOORS

I read many reviews about the quality of this product before purchasing it. I tried it anyway because I'm familiar with the cardboards used to make furniture (I did it myself in art school) and had no intention of comparing the finished product to wood. This is a medium weight material. It is strong enough to be used for storage or display. It must not be moved, bumped or treated roughly. I probably wouldn't use it in a child's room to store toys, for example, and expect it to last ten years. It was fun to put together and the alignment was as accurate as a similar piece of pressed cardboard. The most important feature for me was the lack of harmful exhaust smells. When I buy a homemade wood pressed cardboard structure I have to unpack it and let it air out for 3-4 weeks before I can get close enough to assemble it (because of the formaldehyde smell). - it's too much for me). After unboxing the Way Basics product, I didn't have to wait a minute before bringing it home and putting it together. Once assembled it went straight into the room I needed it to be stored in (one of the most used rooms in the house) and I was absolutely certain it was perfectly safe to breathe the air in there.
