I created a situation in my house where I had to charge my phone on the wall, so apparently the doctor ordered exactly such things. Installation was a bit tricky as the box that houses the outlet is a redesigned surface mount box that protrudes a few millimeters from the wall surface. This resulted in the shelf not being secure so I had to make some simple modifications to the box with a dremel. Two minutes of work and of course my fault that I have a slightly non-standard socket. Do not worry. I complain that the shelf looks cheap. The plastic doesn't feel particularly premium and the design/aesthetics aren't what I would call upscale. But here's the thing: This thing costs $8. It's hard to fret over something that costs $8 and works exactly as advertised. So even though I want to say "four stars, looks cheap" I feel like it just makes me look stupid. So five stars for what it claims to be and the ease of installation. Next time I will look for something more expensive that satisfies my senses better.
