Review on Chrome Mr. Gasket Oil Dipstick for Small Block Chevy (SBC) 1965-1979 by Bryce Marshall

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The oil level marks are different from the original rods. Please note this

It was for 64 Corvette 327/300 CSB. The original pipe broke in the engine block (there's an easy way to remove it if you're curious) and this was the replacement. The pipe is about 4 inches shorter than stock but was the same length at the junction with the engine block. Be sure to re-measure the oil level lines from the old crank to the new crank from the flush mounting point of the cylinder block. It was about 1/2 inch flat. and thus cause a false "low" reading. I noticed that I had drawn a small line on the new stem to match the original oil level gauge. All said and done, it's a nice fit and looks pretty good together. I would order again if another project requires the same modification/installation
