Ideal for picking up fine dust from the floor. I don't have any carpets in my house at all due to allergies. Laminate floors and polished concrete in the basement so I ordered some so I could swap them out and keep cleaning. I couldn't figure out the washing instructions so I just wash on delicates and either line dry or tumble dry on low. So far, so good. No shrinking. Suggestions: Do not use fabric softener or bleach on microfiber as this will degrade the fiber over time. I recommend washing with a "green" detergent like Free & Clear. Additives and fillers in normal detergents clog the fibers over time. This is actually how I wash all my microfiber cleaning products.
