Do not buy if you will be in a salty environment
I specifically ordered these because they are brass. We have a beach house with storage to ourselves and the lock I had for 3 years is rusted. I bought it because I was told the brass is corrosion resistant, but I've only had it THREE MONTHS and it no longer closes (I had it hanging open). The second one, which is hanging closed nearby, still works, but I won't risk it here in the sea air. They might work well in low security areas, but they're tiny and rusty, so I wouldn't recommend them in most situations.
