Review on Waterproof Adhesive Sealant Kitchen Bathroom by Mike Groover

I had to replace the sealant in the shower tray. This is the small ledge where the shower tray meets the wall. I saw this product and thought there might be an easier fix and includes a tool to remove the old caulk and apply new caulking tape. My first problem is the lack of information about the dimensions of the sealing tape. Nowhere in the product details is the width or length of the included weatherstrips specified. In addition, this information is not even listed on the product! I think this information is essential, necessary for the DIY enthusiast who wants to install caulking tape. For reference, the width is just under 1.5 inches. About 10.5 feet long (yes, I actually had to unwind the tape to measure and then rewind the tape). This lack of information lowers the rating. The sealant removal tool also does not come with instructions for proper use. They show different functions, but no procedural instructions. So I would suggest watching online videos before embarking on the task. The shower cabin is made of fiberglass. The caulk removal tool has a plastic body with a metal part for removing old caulk. The edges of this section of metal are sharp, which I think is necessary. I'm afraid of scratching or ruining the fiberglass. This metal element is probably good against tile and metal, but I have reservations about fiberglass or plastic materials. So I decided not to use this tool. So the tape is actually too wide for a shower seal change and the tool is not used. All in all a rather disappointing experience. I can use tape to line the bottom of the toilet as shown in the product description. However, this would only serve to improve the cosmetic, aesthetic appearance. I will not remove the existing putty. It was not suitable for my intended task/project. Therefore, based on the mentioned issues, it gets a rating of 3.5 to 3.75 stars.
