I haven't had these batteries for very long at all but, the difference from the old Dewalt batteries are very noticable. Actually, I'm still using the one I put in and haven't used the other at all, yet. Just from my usage since they arrived, I would recommend these any day over the original batteries. Immediately MORE POWER! Love that! I've only used one of them for things like normal drilling, and even using it for pumping water out of a sump using a drill pump. Still has plenty of power. No signs of slacking off.As far as the charge lights go, mine only show the charge "while" charging. You still don't see the charge level when you're using the battery. Frankly, I could care less but, I don't see the benefit the way it is. My charger already tells me when it's charged. Another great thing about these batteries is being able to use my old charger. How cool is that? Now, what is really cool is that the batteries are so much "lighter" than the old ones. Remember how heavy your 18v drill is? Not so much anymore. These batteries are super light.Final analysis. God forbid these crap out on me anytime soon but if they do, I will surely be back to update this review. So far I'm well pleased. And to think I almost bought a couple of (old stock) Dewalt batteries (which I've already done once) that would not have as much power and not last as long AND, for way more money! If these last and continue to preform, it's the best deal for you.
