I switched from Kaytee Timothy Hay to this one. It's better quality than Kaytee hay, greener, fewer sticks and random waste. It also has a much more pleasant smell than timothy hay. Some of the hay is cut so finely that my guinea pig won't eat it, which is annoying, but there are also many larger pieces. I was afraid my guinea pig wouldn't like the transition from timothy grass to garden grass, but she was fine with it. The 1.5 lb bag is quite large and I would expect it to last about a month (for a guinea pig).
