Ladder floats on the surface so it is very difficult to get it down with your feet and untangle it. I have previously made my own aluminum tube rope ladder which worked MUCH better than this one as it descended in a straight line. However, it wore out, so I bought this ladder rather than building a new one, thinking it would work just as well as my homemade ladder. Also, the knots at the bottom of the ladder wear out after just two uses. It's a piece of junk. Making your own staircase is very easy and you will end up with a much better product.
