Review on πŸ”¨ Enhanced Bosch HCBG22 BlueGranite Carbide Hammer for Superior Performance and Durability by Edward Perez

Proper equipment and patience

4" drill bit for drilling 6" deep holes in garage cement floors. I didn't think the drill would drill all 16 holes so I bought 3 of these drills to use. The first thing I did was drill a shallow 1/4" pilot hole to guide the large 3/4" drill bit. I then used a hammer drill with firm but not overwhelming pressure. In my personal experience, I was able to drill the first 4 holes with no problem. I had a working brush and vacuum to keep dust to a minimum which was pretty bad. Mouth and nose protection and goggles were urgently needed. The 5th and 6th holes took longer but went well. I could have used the same drill bit for more holes, but I decided to use a second drill bit to drill the next 4 holes (I ended up with 10 holes). My drilling technique has improved significantly. I was surprised at how easily my experience helped with the remaining 6 holes. I used my third drill bit to drill 4 holes surprisingly quickly. There were 2 holes left and I decided to remove the third drill to see what my second drill would do. I was surprised how easy it was to drill the last 2 holes using the technique I learned after drilling 14 holes. I learned this by hitting rocks in cement to relieve pressure. Little did I know it was much easier to drill through cement than rock. After my cement anchors were screwed in, the BendPak 4 Post Lift was securely in place.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as others
