Review on MikroTik Dual-Concurrent Access Point: hAP ac Lite RB952Ui-5ac2nD-US by Hideo Tsuchida ᠌

The perfect purchase for me, exactly what I was looking for!

That's all there is to it in terms of a tool for someone who has a concept of working at the 2-3 OSI level. It is possible to solve specific problems, as well as create interesting implementations of traditional problems. For instance, I have a script that restarts the USB modem in the event that the connection to this modem is lost. In general, if the objective is to learn how to install fault-tolerant equipment while also gaining experience in working with networks, the ideal option is to go with the latter.

Pros
  • Wi-Fi performance that is satisfactory for a device that lacks an external antenna. You can essentially do anything, up to making a get-request on a timetable, thanks to the extensive depth and breadth of the settings. With RouterOS, there is sufficient instruction on the wiki page, and it is simple enough to figure out even for a novice.
Cons
  • Because the configuration is not at all straightforward, using it as a solution "out of the box" is probably not the best choice. If you are not already an expert in information technology and do not have any plans to become one, it is in your best interest to stick with more conventional manufacturers.
