This tool can be a chore, but for the price it's definitely worth a try. It doesn't hold the suction very well, especially when oil is allowed to get between the suction and the valve, making it pop out very easily. After the 3rd valve I kinda got used to it and figured out how to keep it longer. I dry both surfaces and wipe down the areas. I would work with the tool so that when I rotate it, it lasts longer. Yes, it hurts, but I'd rather feel it work and be lapped by hand than with a drill press and something else. A drill would be quicker, but as this is my first time rebuilding an engine I wanted to do it the hard way first to make sure I was getting it right. I think I'll try some rubber tubing, attach it to the opposite end, and twist it that way next time. I think I can still feel the valve lapping and the pipe/hose will be easier to hold. But as for this tool, just be patient and know that the suction power is not very good. But you will get used to it and learn how it works.
