These adapters come in very handy when using an air compressor with a Schrader style valved nozzle. They are very easy to use on bike tires with Presta valves. On my bike, I just unclip the top of the Presta valve and screw this adapter directly onto the valve stem. Put the air compressor nozzle in the adapter hole and the tire will inflate very quickly (almost too quickly! Be careful not to over inflate). Unscrew the adapter, unscrew the top of the Presta valve and put the cap back on, done. The longest part of the job is waiting for the air compressor to build up the required pressure. It might seem odd that there are four in a pack, but it makes sense for people like me who easily lose sight of such small details.
