Amazing scanner in code readers and scan tools

This latest Autel MD806 repeats the basic features of the more expensive MD808 and also adds SAS, BMS, EPB and DPF for advanced operations. Its versatility allows it to perform unique tasks that even my 21-function flatbed scanner can't handle. What impressed me the most was the MD806's economical dynamism and its ability to perform complex tasks with impeccable accuracy and speed. Right out of the box, this instrument can perform multiple test modes with well-organized and intuitive details. Once plugged in, the scanner quickly extracts the vehicle's ODBII logs, producing accurate data that's surprisingly easy to decode with a well-written, user-friendly manual. Each of its 4 systems has powerful analytical sub-menus that traditional scanners do not have. For example, the BMS system includes a battery status assessment mode that supports different levels of vehicle battery status. Here you can see the battery level, quiescent current monitoring and battery percentage. In addition, the scanner displays these various battery readings and stores them for 5 days for later review. It also has a battery swap feature that includes an active recovery option that puts the vehicle's ECUs into "sleep mode" while electrical issues are serviced and fixed. The support of these and other advanced features in each of the individual menu systems makes the MD806 unique. Please see the attached pictures for reference. Warning: Before purchasing, please check with Autel Customer Service to ensure that all the specific system features required for your vehicle are available. General OBII functions are universal, so they usually work with most modern vehicles using the standard ODB port. In terms of monetary value, the Autel MD806 is well priced and outperforms most scanners in its category and above. This is a well thought out mid-range device with a surprisingly wide range of features for its market class and class. And with free lifetime updates, all bundled options remain available for the lifetime of the hardware. During this protracted global pandemic, it's vital for DIYers like me to have diagnostic tools on hand to safely and conveniently analyze and service our own vehicles in our home garage. The MD806 is certainly a viable tool that can help reduce inconvenient and risky trips to the workshop during these trying times.
