Matching locks come in handy
Good hitch pins I have double matching locks as I have an adjustable height hitch so I need one pin to mount the truck and one to adjust the height. I left a hitch for October, November, and December in northern Michigan. The figure shows the result, which is good for snow, wet and salty roads. The attached lock cap protects the lock, neither moisture nor sand penetrates. No coating can withstand metal-to-metal friction under load, but the bolt shank resists rust better than a hitch ball. until I need it again.
