Review on 🚪 20113R Genie Garage Door Opener Replacement by Maurice Branch

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worth your money and time.

I bought two of these limit switches and a drive/motor coupler. The original limit switches started failing a few months ago. A bit of wood paneling was added to the sides of the dolly to extend the life of the originals but these have completely failed in recent weeks causing the motor to keep stopping and turning itself over when the dolly hit the opener's power head on which he chewed. The engine's sacrificial clutch lifted fairly slightly until the screw drive stopped turning, even with the engine running. About 5 minutes for the plug change and a few more minutes for both switches. There were slightly different designs than the ones they replace, but they went on just as easily as the others. There was no problem with the screw that came with the switches - I'm not sure if all the complaints relate to that. Maybe a variation in the coulter bar design? In my device, the screw acts as a set screw to hold the limit switch to the rail. Easy. It was also very easy to screw the screw into the switch. The garage door company ended up charging $120 for door opener maintenance. $17 for parts and shipping and about 20 minutes of my time was well worth it. We'll see how well the parts hold up over time, but they looked and felt just as high quality as what came out - combine that with the savings and I'm confident.
