Review on RaceFace Chester Mountain Bike Pedal: Unbeatable Performance and Durability for Off-Roading Enthusiasts by John Wood

Good value but hard to adjust pins

These pedals are very grippy. The pins are very high when fully extended and grab almost too much in my opinion. It can be difficult to get your foot back on it if it slides a little on bumps. You can adjust the height of the pins with a hex wrench. Unfortunately, the nuts they screw into are held in place by the composite, meaning they are sometimes held in place. At least half of them only rotated when I rotated the pins so they couldn't be lowered. I solved this problem by wedging the tip of a utility knife between the side of the nut and the composite to make it more solid and I was able to adjust them that way, but it was a very tedious process to adjust them all. Now that they're done, I love them. Great pedals for the price
