I have not seen any benefit from this product. I placed it in the area that received the most water flow during each flush as instructed, but it did absolutely nothing to stop any dirt build-up that naturally occurs in the bowl after a week or two. It has a faint chemical odor that I would describe as mildly pleasant at best, and honestly, extremely cheap products from big boxes and discount stores have done more to keep my toilet clean than ever. After a week the buildup was very noticeable and while the area directly behind where this bowl cleaner was hanging looked a little cleaner than the rest of the bowl, it wasn't worth it. The packaging of these things also looks schematic, like a fake. I don't recommend this at all, it's easier to spend 30 seconds cleaning the bowl with a brush and bowl cleaner and you'll get better results. hard pass.
