Works on my exercise bike

I actually needed a speedometer for my Sunny Health & Fitness Pro Indoor Cycling Bike. Most answers to the question if this would work said no, but I read the installation guide and decided to give it a try. The biggest challenge was getting the flywheel sensor close enough to the frame sensor so they could read each other. I easily found the solution using styrofoam, masking tape and an old calendar magnet. I cut a small square out of styrofoam and wrap it with tape, making a small hole in one side. I then attached the cube to the magnet with tape. I used a calendar magnet because it has a lot of surface area and hopefully won't move when the wheel turns. Plus, they're easy to find and usually free. I then screwed the loose sensor into the punched hole and held it in place with layers of tape. I laid it on top of the flywheel and attached it to the side for extra stability. I combined it with a stationary sensor that I just glued to the frame. Then I attached the computer part to the steering wheel, set everything up and drove off. So true? I think so. At least for speedometer, odometer and driving time. calories burned? Probably no. This is designed to work on outdoor bikes. They use different amounts of energy to function. Indoor cycles even have different resistance levels. It doesn't take any of that into account. It only counts the revolutions of the wheel. This probably makes a decent baseball figure, but that's about it. However, I like it. It works for what I want. And it wasn't expensive. I also had no problems with the setup rigged by the judges. But despite the fact that I have a spin bike, I've only hit 15 mph now. I don't know if it holds up at high speeds.
