Cleans Porcelain & Granite Tiles

I bought this steam cleaner after using a similar Bissell brand product for vacation rentals. I bought the LIGHT N EASY steam cleaner after reading many positive reviews. Other factors that led to my decision were that it has a longer power cord and non-detachable water box. I thought the seal on the other model's water box might end up leaking. The day the steam mop arrived I used it on porcelain tile in the kitchen/breakfast room, half bath and all transportation areas in the house. Living room. I bought 6 extra cleaning pads and changed them every 100 square feet. I just didn't want to try cleaning with a dirty rag. I also used distilled water. We enter the house mainly through the back door, which is located between the kitchen and the breakfast room. This is where the floor probably collects the most dirt. I had to walk over this area several times, but afterward a white damp cloth wiped over this area of the floor showed no traces of dirt. So I think the steam mop did its job perfectly. The porcelain looked a bit dull after I cleaned it. I realized it was probably the floor cleaners I had used in the past that left a film that also made it slippery. What I saw was actually "clean" stoneware. My boys mentioned that they no longer felt like they were slipping in their stockings. It's good. Granite floor in the entrance area. My main problem with this floor is that it leaves streaks when I use a mop, Swiffer cleaner and electric floor cleaner. The only way to keep it from streaking was to towel dry it immediately after washing the floors. The Light N Easy steam cleaner leaves no streaks - hooray! Today I cleaned the old vinyl floor in the upstairs bathroom. This vinyl is textured and the vapor generator itself didn't do that well. Didn't hit deep texture. So I sprayed some organic cleaning spray on the floor and returned there with the steamer. This solved the problem. Overall 5 stars!
