The blades are not sharp enough to cut carrots.
Bought mainly to speed up slicing carrots but right out of the box the blades weren't sharp enough to slice the carrots causing the carrots to get stuck in the mechanism and the holder broke out of the carrots . I tried this from different angles and created both flat and round surfaces for the holder but I couldn't do more than one pass through the slicer. Very disappointed! Even with a regular carrot knife, the carrots usually got stuck or the slices couldn't come out straight because the product couldn't handle it.
