Tests show that this modem offers download speeds of 20-30 Mbps and upload speeds of 5-6 Mbps (depending on the test). This modem is on the Xfinity/Comcast compatibility list. That's better than paying an extra $10 in rent every month. All you have to do is call your cable provider and ask them to add this modem to your data plan. It's been 10 minutes and you're done. I contacted my cable ISP's tech support, thinking it was on their side. They said everything was fine as far as they could tell. It even worked during live communication with them.
