I had to remove the screen from my wife's 2006 iMac to replace a failed hard drive. As a Mac, things are more complicated than they should be. So I bought these suction cups to take off the screen and I'm glad I have them! First, they are lightweight but have great suction power. However, this power is not so great that it damages the screen. It is enough that you comfortably press the screen and do not feel like tearing the whole computer apart. Second, they are universal. There's no limit to what you can suck with these bad boys! Although I bought them with the intention of fixing my iMac, which was easy to do, they can be used for other purposes as well.
