You get what you pay for with this handrail bracket. Screws garbage, immediately unscrewed with minimal effort. The bracket on the bottom of the rail is only for the bracket if it goes straight up and down so the bracket is level with the horizon. The problem is that the handrails on the stairs have to go at an angle! That's the point of railings! Luckily I was able to use the old gear to sort the Frankenstein all together to temporarily fix my railing, but I strongly DO NOT RECOMMEND this set!
