I bought this because I believe someone put in a router and caused consistently unreliable wifi. This antenna is slightly shorter than the standard Asus a68u router. I think I read somewhere that the Asus a68u router is only 3.5db, so that 8db antenna would be a huge improvement. Rather a big disappointment, but it increased the signal strength reported by my router from 30 to 40. I ended up changing the router position to a window and 5GHz to 20MHz, which was much better than a stable Wi-Fi connection. The antenna is good for replacing smaller antennas, but I don't think it will make much of a difference on routers with 3 antennas or more.#update. After another time to install the router in place. These antennas have no improvement over the original 6.5 inch non-curved Asus Ac68u factory antenna in client mode. In access mode, the connection experiences more interference that affects network activity. I only recommend them if your antenna is much smaller than 6 inches.
