Worked great on my 228i for my first do-it-yourself oil change. Perfect fit without being too tight. The fit, finish and quality have exceeded my expectations. Just a note for those doing their first oil change on a 228i regarding resetting the service oil indicator. I've looked at all the videos on the internet but I haven't been able to play their results and restart my computer. The trick is to lightly press the start button twice to put the car in guard position without starting the engine. Press and hold the odometer reset button in the lower left corner of the speedometer display area. The car then showed an option to reset the oil settings and you have to press and hold the odometer reset button again to reset it. Very easy if you do it for the first time. Also, on the first change, at least on my model, a plastic oil pan plug should be included in the filter kit I bought from the dealer to make sure it's correct and to avoid warranty issues. A #10 allen wrench is required to loosen this plastic plug. The fork has a flange around it that seems to resist turning the fork when the "stops” click. Don't worry, you won't shoot anything if you hear this and unplug it. When installing a new plug, be careful not to overtighten. Buy this Motivx key. Great tool at a reasonable price.
