They are ok and not for locks that require honey and water.

If you've had to use honey and water to keep your curls (closed) then this isn't for you. I'm American mixed with Hispanic and Chinese. My hair took a lot (honey and water), I'm still in the early stages of trying to hold my hair together and years later I'm paying the price trying to put it together myself. They're too thick to go through the hard, thin layers of my curls and I wouldn't need anyone with thin curls to use them. It will definitely damage and break your hair. On the other hand, they worked wonders for my brothers. His curls are a lot thicker than mine and didn't damage his hair.
