This is a good general purpose product. The ink spreads well and has a dark pigment. I made good use of the ink that came with it. Pen sizes are good for most medium-sized projects. I have been practicing and teaching calligraphy for 40 years and have used many products. I would use this for scrapbooks or other things that don't require print-ready output. I ordered two for projects I have. One had the thin point rough and trimmed even with a razor blade could only aid execution. He shared and shared the ink. With a wide tip, there were no particular problems. My issue with this marker is that the tip material doesn't respond well to large movements. It doesn't retain the same ability to draw with a long stroke and seems to stick to the paper a bit. I've tried it on several types of paper and found that it just sags a bit. For many years I taught art in high school. This is the type of product I would buy for some of my students. Will i buy it again? no I use what I have. It's just not a quality I like about my job. There's a well-known brand competitor that has a much better tip, but they don't just sell their product in black. I have to buy a whole bunch of colors to get black. I'm still looking for another product that gives me a smooth finish and even coverage.
