It worked fine for a few months then everything started to fail. The first was the power button; Next came the ad. It started giving erroneous readings compared to the heater setting and instant readout. I ended up losing a few fish because I trusted this heater which was my fault. A "finger test" was necessary, at least a few fish would have saved immediately. i think i'm done I'll use something else and not rely on the electronics. . . but what? The mechanical ones just break eventually because the bigger fish like to bump into them. I'm not sure about the stickers either. I think I'd rather buy a special instant reader than fall for my wife's instant reader.
