Review on πŸ”₯ Aideepen 40A Digital Double Pulse Encoder Spot Welder Controller Board with LCD Display - Enhanced Welding Transformer Efficiency by Andrew Vogel

Couldn't cook at all.

So the damn thing comes without instructions. Sophisticated piece of bear electronics and no instructions other than a very very limited circuit that says on the product page. I have to tell you that the lack of instructions is probably one of the biggest and dumbest reasons for bad reviews, but these manufacturers or sellers just don't care because I still see so many without instructions. Okay, enough of this problem and then on to the next one. So I had a 1000E transformer I got from a UPS and that should be plenty but those detailed instructions call for a microwave transformer so I went out and bought a microwave just to follow the instructions. The same instructions that don't mention the orientation of the transformer as logically one would think that we would need amplifiers on the welding tips because if we apply 110V to a typical primary core the output voltage will be enough to turn your two welding rods up Jacob's Ladder . Therefore, for safety reasons and basic knowledge of electricity, I used the inverter in reverse. Now I'm sure I have enough amps and this device is supposed to control everything needed to control time and current, but try after try couldn't even get close to the weld. I've even heard that it takes a little skill to learn the right pressure to weld, so I spent hours getting it to weld. I never got past a few sparks. I even went and bought some big capacitors as well as a massive rectifier bridge to switch them to DC and all I could do was heat up the nickel strip. Solid band and no spot welds.

Pros
  • Great for me
