I have a '79 Jeep with a 304 engine, Edelbrock alum intake manifold and headers. I had a Holley 1850-2 but it never worked properly. I installed this carb, changed the power valve to 9.5 (21 VAC) and adjusted with the idle screws. My Jeep responds and runs great in all RPM ranges. One thing to note is the need for a 4 to 2 barrel plate depending on your intake. I used Mr. Gasket's. Another thing is that it comes with a deep power valve cover and has some clearance issues with some air intakes. Again, an extension might be necessary. This is a MotorCraft 2150 replica and there are many videos on YouTube to help you. Driven a little over 500 km without any problems.
