Great carburetor for Jeep AMC 304

I have a '79 Jeep with a 304 engine, Edelbrock alum intake manifold and headers. I had a Holley 1850-2 but it never worked properly. I installed this carb, changed the power valve to 9.5 (21 VAC) and adjusted with the idle screws. My Jeep responds and runs great in all RPM ranges. One thing to note is the need for a 4 to 2 barrel plate depending on your intake. I used Mr. Gasket's. Another thing is that it comes with a deep power valve cover and has some clearance issues with some air intakes…

Pros
  • Hands free operation
Cons
  • Not the best

does not fit the stock Chevy 250 intake manifold

can not be used, does not fit the stock Chevy 71 manifold. Lever hits a person. Almost half an inch is also not a monojet carburetor. try to send it back and can't, tells me to send it back before the 4th, i got it on time on the 5th update, it's a nitemare just dragging on. I'm trying to change my order return method to print a label here so I can drive to a local pickup location instead of driving 30 miles. can't get it to work. I then get a message to send pictures to prove a mistake was…

Crankcase YFA Clone on carburetor

This is not a Carter carburetor, which is a good thing. I'll start with the good - after installation, my truck is running much better than ever. I experience no ping or hesitation and it revs smoothly through the rev range. The throttle also opens normally. Now for the bad - the front end of this carb is so different from the crankcase that you can't properly adjust the EGR dump valve. If your truck has an EGR system, you will need to get creative when using this carburetor. Also, some…

  • Everything is fine!

High quality copy of the original.

This test is for a 1965-1985 Ford single barrel carburetor. In general, this is very good. High-quality casting, processing and assembly. The only downside to this model is the screws that attach the butterflies to the shafts. They are not glued like the original and may loosen over time. Another downside is that one of the 4 bolts holding the throttle lever to the underside of the main carburetor section is too long. That's the one that goes in the blind hole under the fuel tank. It seems…

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • General Information

1970 Chevy Nova L6 250cu. It took me a while to try and install this. after. It's also a more modern version of the Monojet than my car, so I had to rebuild the throttle, install a new return spring, and install a new air cleaner bolt. Haven't connected an e-choke yet (at the moment only connected to the battery to warm up). When I opened the box a while ago I didn't look closely, just opened it to make sure it was the right one. Yesterday (now well past the return window) I started putting it…

Pros
  • Brings joy
