This test is for a 1965-1985 Ford single barrel carburetor. In general, this is very good. High-quality casting, processing and assembly. The only downside to this model is the screws that attach the butterflies to the shafts. They are not glued like the original and may loosen over time. Another downside is that one of the 4 bolts holding the throttle lever to the underside of the main carburetor section is too long. That's the one that goes in the blind hole under the fuel tank. It seems solid, but in fact its three washers are too long and don't help to connect the two parts. It is recommended to either shorten the screw or add washers. Since this carburetor is designed for a wide variety of years and models, it may not fit exactly in every detail. For example, the linkage assembly does not have the ability to attach the linkage to a Ford AOD overdrive transmission. I found it easiest to just replace the entire lower assembly on my original carburetor with new upper parts. That works fine. The engine started quickly and only needed an idle adjustment. I would recommend this to others. This is excellent value and much easier than restoring an old carburettor.
