Review on 🏎️ Enhance Performance with AEM 22-401B Blue Short Ram Intake System by Juan Harrington

Delivery went as expected. There were no problems. As mentioned in another review, the store picture doesn't quite match everything that comes with SRI (short entry) but close enough to get an idea. I'll see if I can post pics later. Some of you are probably wondering why I only gave this product three stars. And coincidentally, I have three reasons for knocking him down a few levels. Don't get me wrong, I definitely don't regret buying this product, it's just not what I expected. REASONS: 1) For my car I used both bushings that came with the filter, the 0.5" bushing was too heavy to get into the pipe. This actually took the longest of all the steps. I also didn't even have to touch the pipe with the coolant in it. Maybe some cars do. But yeah, I missed that step. When installing the product the filter collided with one of the pipes in such a way that I had to push the pipe and clamp the filter against it The only way to avoid this without removing this pipe assembly is to not tighten the screws on the inlet what, as stated in the instructions, voiding the warranty in CA, I had a cheap $50 entry (non-CARB-exempt.) that I got from collar years ago in middle school. Not only did the crappy one fit better (except I had to use duct tape to tape the sensor to the intake), it was at least 50% louder and growled more than the one AEM supplied. I mean, AEM is louder than the original, but other reviewers had too high expectations of me (maybe they had better results, depending on engine mods. Everything is stock in my car except SRI). The growl in the AEM sounds a bit muffled, so the ride isn't that exciting. However, this is a road legal version, so I will use it. If I get a chance I'll post a video comparing the two just to prove I'm not the only one. although I'll have to wait until I'm in another state to register my crappy car since as mentioned it's not CARB exempt.
