The broadcast block works, Mercedes is stupid.

Just what I needed for my uncle 2007 E350. Its fuel pump itself failed, but I was told to change them in pairs (it's just a gear unit, you have to buy a pump separately). Pump, to the transmission unit which broke but a friend who works at a Mercedes dealership told me to replace both. Anyhow, let's move on to the installation, if you're like me and expect an easy installation, think again. ALSO if you plan on changing this make sure there is less than half a tank or the fuel will end up in the cabin as the access doors are oriented a bit closer to the rear of the car. I had the pleasure of changing them on a gently sloping driveway with a full tank of fuel. Needless to say, it was dirty AF. The problem is not replacing that and the pump, the problem is the wiring and wiring from the driver's side access port to the passenger side IN THE TANK ACCESS TUNNEL. We're talking about a very tight tunnel that connects your lines and makes you scream with frustration. I found a diagram (which I can't find again to share with you) of what it looks like inside the tank and it really is little more than a bunch of wires and tubing. To put it mildly, it's damn funny. Here you can thank me later. I used a wire hanger and stretched it from the passenger side to the driver side port, tied it to a bunch of things and slowly pulled it out. Boom, I just saved you a headache and swearing over the Mercedes name. Please.
