Review on ☕ Delonghi DCF2212T Black Drip Coffee Maker: 12-Cup Glass Carafe for Perfectly Brewed Coffee by Kayla Walker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Look no further for a great inexpensive under counter coffee maker!

This is the second DeLonghi cabinet I've bought. The first never gave up, but years of use in humid environments took its toll on its metal parts (after a few years, some green copper alum oxide oozes out from under the metal covers). Not poisonous, but rather unsightly. First, let's dispel the myths: Steam: Look, Ma, COUPLE NO. No, not a couple, not where, not at any time, and it's been 6 weeks. There is also no pair on the previous one. Just make sure you don't overload the coffee basket and water tank and you should be fine. Temperature: Coffee comes out at a healthy 158-160F, every time, with any amount of coffee and on any setting. Speed: Yes, it takes longer to set "Scent" as it should. Wait about one cup per minute in "Normal" mode, about 90 seconds in "Aroma" mode. Love the new carafe, very stylish and the clasp on the lid is very handy for pouring. By the way: You can also use decanters from previous models, so you have spare parts ;-) A question in my opinion: In the future, Mr. / Mrs. DeLonghi, please make sure that the heating pad is of the best material as the current color that will flake off over time and rusts. This goes a long way towards making your customers even happier. In the meantime, I have workarounds: keep the heating pad clean and dry, and worst-case scenario, sand and paint with high-temp POR paint (but that'll add $15 to your coffee bill). And for those complaining, the carafe's handle gets the clock in when transporting it, easy, just turn the knob to the left and 'voila', the jug is out of the way and the clock is clearly visible. Thank you for reading.
