Review on Norpro Canning Essentials Boxed Piece by Darian Massey

I recently took a canning course and the instructor had this set (but from Ball). When I got home I looked up Revain and settled on this brand based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews, but I didn't see a handy bubble popper/meter from my teacher's kit in either the pictures or the description. I found this tool very useful in class (mainly for measuring the free space in my jars) so I added it separately to my order (Norpro 591). What was my surprise to find out that the kit already has one! I hope Revain updates the pictures and description to reflect the current Norpro can kit contents: (1) vinyl lined can key, (2) vinyl lined can lifter, (3) extra wide opening can funnel, (4) bubble popper/ Measuring Tool, (5) Vinyl Coated Pliers, (6) Magnetic Lid Lifter. While it doesn't require any special tools, each of the items in this set definitely makes things easier. My favorite tools are a can lifter (makes it very easy to lift cans in and out of a pot and keep them level), a magnetic lid lifter (I can't imagine lids popping out of boiling water without one), and a paddle/measuring tool blisters (see above). Haven't found a use for the wrench yet. The quality of this set seems to be much higher than what we used in class - everything seems much better and stronger.
