GREAT tool set! Helped me the first time.

FOR THE FIRST TIME this set is complete! These tools helped! I made fig jam. I've never canned anything, but I looked up a few YouTubes to see how my grandmother used to make it. This summer I tossed figs from our fig tree in a bag in the freezer until I found time to store them. Canned figs are GREAT, found the maple fig jam recipe on Pinterest. I couldn't be happier with the result. I was happy to have a funnel, tongs for lowering and raising jars of boiling water, a bubble remover/gauge for…

The can lifter handles separated when I lifted a hot can.

The overall quality of the product(s) just wasn't good enough. The tongs don't open and close as easily as they should, and more importantly, the handles on the can lifter let go when I pick up a hot can. Luckily this happened immediately when I lifted and squeezed so the can only went down an inch or so. Good value for money! - Canned Food

I'm a serious preserver and really test these items. I have three of these sets. The Norpro lasts as well as my signature ball kit and is half the price. The can lift alone will cost you $5-6 at your local mass market. The magnetic lid lifter is one of those silly little things that saves you time and fingers when you're preheating lids like me, and is $3.99 at the same store IF they have them. The only item that is out of good shape after a few years is a plastic funnel which I seem to have…

The mysterious sixth item is the Paddle Spatula/Bladder Knife!

I recently took a canning course and the instructor had this set (but from Ball). When I got home I looked up Revain and settled on this brand based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews, but I didn't see a handy bubble popper/meter from my teacher's kit in either the pictures or the description. I found this tool very useful in class (mainly for measuring the free space in my jars) so I added it separately to my order (Norpro 591). What was my surprise to find out that the kit already has…
